The city of Yazd is in the eastern part of central Iran, surrounded by deserts. Yazd’s climate is the most important role in designing houses. Due to its hot climate, many old buildings have magnificent wind catchers and thick muck brick walls to keep the cold temperature from outside. In the city architecture, walls connected with mud brick arches created shadows during hot summers to keep the passerby cool.
I designed a set of three posters for a hypothetical architectural event that explores the muck brick city of Yazd. To meet this need, I chose three keywords based on major architectural concepts in Yazd, such as ray, shade, and density. Each poster was designed to represent these keywords in 3D.
